Re: Implications of WebAssembly and Standard XAML.

That's a nice PoC; The only difference that I see from a local instance of the Showcase running is that the Azure hosted version has a display issue with the 1st binding demo (and lesser performance on page transitions). So this is very promising. I know that Blazor is an experiment, not a supported...

Re: Implications of WebAssembly and Standard XAML.

@tomcat The future that you suggest might be closer than expected. There is a small project called OOUI (Object oriented UI) that has a toolchain that implements C#/Mono/Xamarin Forms on wasm. Take a look at https://github.com/praeclarum/Ooui for details. I've been developing a Xamarin Forms app for...

Emulator fails to run splitter

If you run the CSHTML5 Showcase in the emulator, choose any 'View source..." and then try to use the splitter then the two windows do not change. If you do a "Run in browser" the splitter behaves as it should.

Contemplating creating an app using C#/XAML and have a few questions

I am evaluating creating a web based app using C#/XAML that is loosely based upon a legacy Silverlight app. I am not worried about namespace changes since those are easy bulk edits. For various reasons I don't want to port the SL app directly. I am missing a few key concepts: 1) In SL I reference a ...

Error thrown in simulator with style

I am trying to port the Silverlight navigation app to C#/XAML as the Silverlight application that I really want to port is based on this template. As part of the process I am using as many of the styles defined in the nav app. The use of the style is <ContentControl Style="{StaticResource LogoI...

Re: Upload file

I have a C# implementation (Silverlight) of the file upload methodology shown in this http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/51331/Silverlight-MVVM-Lib-and-FileUploader-Using-HttpHa . If this would be of use you can shoot an email to mark2002 AT stega DOT us and I can send you the code. I know it isn't...
